Champions League, 1st Knockout Round, 1st leg

Thierry Henry had been playing very poorly (by his standards) for the last 3 games.
And today he admitted that he has been carrying a foot ligament injury from the match against Middlesbrough.
And now because he had tried to play through the injury, the foot has swollen - indicating a fairly serious problem that requires resting the limb.
Despite his talismanic status in the team and club, despite his declared intention and desire to "help the team even when I'm not 100%", I think that he should be dropped for at least a few weeks - starting with the Carling Cup final against Chelsea.
It is obvious that in games when Le Capitaine starts, the younger team-mates will look up to him and seek to always get him into play.
Quite rightly so, because Thierry Henry when in form, is probably the deadliest striker in the Premier League.
But the operative word is "in form".
Carrying an injury to his foot is not being in form.
Being mentally suspect because of a rumoured bust-up with his Significant Other is also not being in form.
He's still a good player, even when not in form, but then he would be fairly ordinary - and not Theirry Henry.
And in a squad consisting the finest young talent that money can buy, there's no place for someone "ordinary".
