Ashley who?

From The Guardian (Jon Brodkin):

The introduction of Justin Hoyte for Touré on Wednesday left Arsenal with 11 players from 11 different countries but that multinational force could hardly be accused of lacking spirit or of being lazy or selfish, charges thrown at last season's squad by Ashley Cole in his book.

Togetherness will be needed at Old Trafford, and the players believe Cole's accusations are unfounded. "If he did say those things it is completely wrong," said Gilberto Silva. "He knows that inside of him. He knows the atmosphere at Arsenal has always been good." Van Persie was equally forthright. "I think that's all nonsense," he said of Cole's comments. "You definitely don't get to the Champions League final without spirit and commitment. That was only a few months ago."

Lazy? Who got the Arse into the CL finals at leftback? Certainly NOT Ashley Cole.

Playing him in the Final was something I felt Wenger should not have done. It's like having someone who's an MC kaki represent your department.

But thank you, Cashley. Your book could prove to be the catalyst we need to shove your opinions back to where they belong ... yup, right there where the sun don't shine.
